Russell Boezak serves as Commercial Director for AIA where he is responsible for developing and implementing commercial strategies to build and lead AIA’s growth aspirations, identify and pursuing key opportunities for transformational sales, new business and new partnerships, enhancing practice value propositions and product development, and acquisition, analysis and triage of deal flow as we fulfil Private Equity investment opportunities on behalf of clients.
With a postgraduate qualification with distinctions in Finance and Sales from Wits Business School, Russell has over twenty-five years of corporate management experience with special emphasis on investment banking, in particular Morgan Stanley, UBS, American International Group, African Banking Corporation, EOH, ABSA and Old Mutual. He has worked in more than 16 countries on various engagements ranging from major change initiatives, systems implementations, project recovery, offshore development centre creation, executive orchestration, and regulatory and central banking faceoff.
As a qualified Executive Coach, Russell has found his niche as a mentor to the younger professional class in corporate, civil service and entrepreneurial life, and is devoted to encouraging and developing nascent individual journeys to yield its full potential, for the benefit not just for each other but for the betterment of the society we live in.
